Hi, I'm AL—

I love making people laugh—but I’m just as driven to challenge the status quo. My mission is to tell unforgettable stories that linger in your head, tug at your heart, and maybe shove you out of your comfort zone.

✍️ As of April 2025, I’ve written 8 books and 2 screenplays, with two more novels and a third script currently in development.

🎬 My long-term goal is to produce Mixed Signals as my debut feature. For now, I’m taking the traditional route: querying agents, knocking on doors, and seeing where the script lands. But if Hollywood doesn’t bite, I’ll go indie. I’m lucky to be surrounded by a lot of talented, creative people.

What I ♡

✌️ I'm a sucker for a good love story. Buddy romance works, too (think Danno and McGarrett, Holmes and Watson). Bonus points if it makes me laugh. And cry. But leaves me with a good feeling in the end. Gold star if it restores my faith in humanity.

🍿 I grew up on Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Gilmore Girls, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and anything with Robert De Niro or Jackie Chan in it. And yes—because I grew up in Germany, I firmly believe Die Hard is a Christmas movie.

These days, I gravitate toward stories like Silver Linings Playbook, Emily in Paris, Bridgerton, and To All the Boys I've Loved Before. The Proposal and Because I Said So are the two romcoms I’ve rewatched the most. Anything with Sandra Bullock, really.

📚 My favorite tropes? Friends-to-lovers, neighbors-to-lovers, opposites attract, and enemies-to-lovers. I live for sharp banter—in fiction and in real life. Favorite romance reads: Melt For You by J.T. Geissinger and Wild Love by Elsie Silver. Favorite romance author? Abby Jimenez, no question.

Favorite nonfiction author: Mark Manson. Mastering The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is on my life goals list. Am I close? Not even a little. But I’m nothing if not stubborn.
